It's lambing season in Maine, which means everywhere I go there are cute baby lambs and tired owners who have been up at all hours helping with deliveries.  But why should we have all the fun?  Here are some pics for those of you who don't have a friend with sheep, or live in a barn friendly place.  The top two pictures are of Louise Hessert and her Romney babies.  Romneys are a sizable sheep when they're grown.  The bottom four pictures are Patty's Icelandic babies.  These pictures are not terriby clear ones of the baby lambs, but they do evoke the warm, magical place that a barn becomes when there are new babies in it.  Patty's cat had also had kittens so her barn was positively packed with infant charm.
